A few days ago I was checking the statements on my credit cards when I came across a weird transaction.
Now I have NO IDEA what HHL*RETAIL – NUT P6OF6 is, so when I called my credit card company, they confirmed that it is some sort of home furnishing store. Now I did say before that I shop online A LOT. So it was only a matter a time before something like this was bound to happen even though I always thought this will never happen to me. Turns out they have been deducting $19.99 since August. I’m glad that its only about 20 bucks a month they have been stealing from me, which made it really hard to detect but I’m sure I would have caught it much sooner if it was a larger amount. Slick bastards.
Any who, I’m not going to cry over $100 dollars even though I would be equally pissed if it was $1,000 or $1 because at the end of the day MY money is MY money. But if your lucky most credit cards protect you from credit fraud and luckily for me, the people over at Capital One are handling it and sending me a new card
Bank of America also magically sends you a new card whenever they feel your information has been compromised. I actually received 2 new debit cards alone last year because I’m sure my CC info is all over the internet with all the online purchases I make. God bless BOA. Love them.
So make sure you check your statements religiously people!
